The GERSTEL TDU 2 and TD 3.5+ thermal desorption systems have a unique design that directly connects the TD and CIS inlet, eliminating the need for a lengthy transfer line. The TD systems have a special “bayonet” fitting critical in ensuring a secure connection between the TD and CIS. This fitting compresses the GERSTEL Graphpack liner ferrule, creating a tight seal.
You may need to adjust the bayonet fitting to ensure a proper seal whenever you need to change the CIS liner or replace the Graphpack liner ferrule. To learn more about this process, download our TDU Familiarization Guide or contact service@gerstelus.com.
