Training

GERSTEL training courses are held in our fully equipped Baltimore, Maryland Application Laboratory. While not application-specific, these courses address the full range of the GERSTEL system’s capabilities.

The courses are designed to cover your specific needs and feature extensive “hands-on” training in hardware and software, including essential routine maintenance procedures.

Courses are held for up to 8-hours per day.

Courses will run from approximately 8 am to 4 pm Eastern Time.

 

Main Features and Advantages

GERSTEL’s laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, and our staff are leading experts in all aspects of chemical analysis.

In-Person Training

Day 1: MPS Autosampler Course

This day covers MPS liquid, headspace, SPME injection, standard accessories, and MAESTRO software control of special functions. It also includes hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting for the MPS and CIS inlet.

Day 2: Thermal Desorption Course

This course covers strategies for direct thermal extraction of solids, air sampling, Stir Bar Sorbtive Extraction (Twister®), and Thin Film-SPME. It also includes a workshop format for thermal desorption software control for GERSTEL thermal desorbers and a maintenance and troubleshooting workshop for the TDU and CIS inlet.

Day 3: Dynamic Headspace/ODP

This course covers the DHS accessory for the MPS autosampler. Includes hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting, typical applications, and MAESTRO software operation of special functions.

Kindly take note of the following:

Please refrain from registering for training if your instrument has not been installed. We highly recommend 4 to 6 weeks of hands-on instrument usage before attending.
Registration is limited to three individuals per company per training course.
