event2featured 67th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics

Where:

AmeriMart Convention Center

Atlanta, GA

What to Expect:

We invite you to join us at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, held this year at the AmeriMart Convention Center from June 3rd through the 7th.  At this major conference we will be displaying how our emerging technologies can be applied to practical applications.

In addition, stop by GERSTEL’s Poster Presentation to meet one of the authors, Fred Foster, on Monday, June 4th. He will present his work on Completely Automated Hydrolysis, Extraction and Analysis of Opiates in Urine using a New Robotic Autosampler and LC/MS/MS Platform.

The study demonstrates how the enzymatic hydrolysis, cleanup, solvent exchange and sample injection can be completely automated using the GERSTEL MPS robotic autosampler. Excellent reproducibility and detection limits for fentanyl and a wide variety of other opioid compounds in urine were obtained using the new Agilent 6465A Ultivo LC/MS/MS system. As a result of this study, forensic, health care and law enforcement scientists can now promptly assess which opioid is involved, to more effectively respond to the epidemic use of opiates sweeping the United States.
