SPME Course Dec. 7-8, 2016: Learn from the Inventor
SPME is a simple, fast and green technique for sample collection and separation. Learn about SPME and its newest applications from the technique’s inventor.
Today’s analytical and separation methods can work with practically any complex mixture, largely thanks to solid phase microextraction (SPME), a sample extraction technique that can easily and accurately collect samples from the most complex matrices without the need for hazardous solvents.
Professor Janusz Pawliszyn, inventor of SPME, will be leading a two-day course on the theory and applications of SPME. The course is designed for those interested in adopting the technology, as well as SPME veterans who want deeper insight into method. The course will cover method development, calibration, applications to environmental food and bioanalytical chemistry, and future directions and new SPME devices. It also will feature coupling to the GERSTEL MultiPurpose Sampler, SPME Multifiber exchange, and other products that can easily automate GC, LC, Mass Spectrometry and data analysis.
