GERSTEL Inc. offers training courses at our Baltimore, Maryland applications lab which is fully equipped with all major GERSTEL instrumentation on Agilent Technologies GC/MS and LC/MS instrumentation. Standard 1-day course modules are presented throughout the year; one covers the versatile MPS autosampler and accessories for liquid, headspace and SPME sample injection, the other covers Thermal Desorption (TDU or TDS) and related applications. A third half-day course covers the Dynamic Headspace accessory for the MPS autosampler. Courses include hands-on instrument maintenance and operation as well as classroom presentations on applications such as headspace and SPME sample introduction, air sampling, thermal desorption strategies for solids, and Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction (SBSE) with the GERSTEL Twister™.

The courses are typically held four times per year. Special course modules can be arranged covering topics such as pyrolysis, multidimensional GC-GC or standalone workstation operation. It is also possible to arrange customized on-site training for larger groups at your site. If interested in customized training courses please contact support@gerstelus.com.

The GERSTEL applications lab is located 10 minutes from the Baltimore-Washington International airport, and 15 minutes from Baltimore’s beautiful downtown Inner Harbor. How to Register

GERSTEL training courses are advanced courses that assume the course participants are familiar with GC chromatography principles and instrument control software. If introductory GC courses are needed, please contact one of the many organizations that offer such courses. GERSTEL recommends new users attend training after gaining some basic experience running their systems based on the familiarization given at the time of installation.

Registration is $825 per student per day, with discount schedules available for multiple participants from a single company. See the registration form for current multistudent rates. Lunch is provided on-site during the course.
