The ATEX option uses a microvial placed inside a TDU tube (see photo) which allows either solid or liquid samples to be thermally desorbed while leaving the matrix behind. The GERSTEL unique tube cap allows liquid samples to be injected into the microvial, allowing the entire analysis to be automated.
